The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall were in St Mawes this morning to officially name the new pedestrian Ferry.
During their 40 minute visit Prince Charles and Camilla walked around the village quay and spoke to Andy and Julie, propierters of the St Mawes Post office, The Curtis family, owners of the St Mawes Bakery, Local Fisherman Peter Green and wife Angie [MFV Celestial Dawn], 'Scruff', local fisherman [MFV Bobbie Dee], before listing to the singing by the St Mawes Primary School.
Finally they left aboard the new ferry to visit Falmouth.
A reasonable crowd turned out to view the event and the weather remained clear, until a brief shower at the end.
The Duke and Duchess were shown around by Peter Buckle of the St Mawes Harbour and Bill Whitton of the St Mawes Pier and Harbour Company.
