Chyrond is one of the famous thatched round houses built by the Trist family in the early 1800’s. The cottage, which is cared for by the owners, offers comfortable accommodation for two couples. In the round cottage itself there is a dining room with kitchen off, and upstairs a double bedroom with en suite bathroom.

In the slate roofed extension there is a twin bedroom, a sitting room and a lavatory. You reach the extension through a slate floored hallway which also leads through French windows onto a terrace and the secluded garden. If you are a larger party, we can provide bunk beds to make the twin bedroom into a four bed family room; the sitting room has a good quality bed-settee.

The village of Veryan is a lively community with primary school, Church, pub and shop. There are also two galleries and a Glass Studio where visitors can watch glass being blown (by one of the owners of Chyrond www.maggiewilliamsglass.co.uk). The beach and national trust coastal path is only a mile from Chyrond. Within a five mile radius there are five excellent pubs and the same number of first class restaurants. Veryan itself has a sports and social club which is open to visitors to join and which offers tennis courts
